New water, wastewater and transportation system development charge (SDC) methodologies are being proposed for adoption by Albany City Council. The new methodology reports are needed to account for a variety of residential home sizes and their varied impact to city utilities.

Oregon law requires a 90-day notification period prior to the first public hearing for adoption of an SDC methodology modification, and the proposed methodology must be made available 60-days prior to the public hearing.

The City of Albany is scheduled to hold a public hearing during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on September 28, 2022, to consider new the methodologies:

Persons wanting to provide testimony during the public hearing may:

  1. Email written comments to the staff contact listed below, including your name and subject of the public hearing, before noon on the day of the meeting.
  2. To testify virtually during the public hearing, register by emailing the staff contact listed below, before noon on the day of the meeting, with your name; phone number; and if you are speaking for, against, or neutral on the project/subject. The mayor will call upon those who have registered to speak.

Written testimony received 10 days prior to the hearing will be included in the Council packet.
